The chest shown here is one of my favorite pieces. The timber used in this particular one is English Oak, and the body of the chest has fielded panels, while the top, which has wooden hinges, is solid. The outside of the chest is given an oiled finish, which enhances the grain and texture of the wood, while being easy to maintain
Inside the chest is a sliding tray, this can be lifted out if desired, it has a small triangular potpourri container in the corner, with a fretted top. I usually use a simple Celtic design here. A date and names or initials can be carved on the inside of the lid if required making an ideal wedding present. The bottom of the chest is made from fragrant cedar of Lebanon, and the inside of the chest is finished with a traditional wax polish which is made by my wife The size of this particular chest is 810mm wide 450mm deep and 530mm high (approx.). Price as shown £1680.00. Other timbers sizes etc. please ask for quotation.

If you order one of these chests directly from me I will pay for carriage by specialist firm to most places in UK.
